Just let us know if you wish your donation to go to a particular ward, department, hospital site or area of research. To make your gift go further, and if you are eligible, please print off, sign and include a Gift Aid declaration.
Please do not send cash in the post. If you have carried out a collection or fundraising event and want to hand in the money, you can take this to any one of our hospital cashier offices. For a full list of our cashiers and details of their opening hours, please contact us.
If you have carried out a collection or fundraising event and want to transfer the money by BACS, please contact us. We’ll provide you with our bank details and further information to ensure your donation goes to your chosen hospital, ward, department or area of research.
If you have raised money through sponsorship, you can pay this in through your JustGiving page or by BACS transfer. Remember to include a note about what it’s for!
We understand that current circumstances may mean it’s difficult to say goodbye as you would wish to, particularly if family and friends are unable to go to a funeral. Setting up an online collection page on JustGiving means you can create a personal tribute to your loved one while raising donations for the ward or hospital that cared for them. Often people choose to make a donation in lieu of flowers – and if someone gives you a donation directly, you can easily add this to your page.
When setting up your page, be sure to indicate this is money raised in memory of someone special.

Once you have ensured that your family have been taken care of, remembering any of NHS Lothian’s hospitals in your will ensure that we can continue to support the amazing work that the skilled clinical teams do long into the future. Legacies, whether left for research, new equipment, staff development or additional patient comforts, will help future generations, and are a vital source of income for us.
