You can make your donation to Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation worth 25% more with a simple Gift Aid declaration at no extra cost to you.
As a registered charity, we can claim the tax back from HMRC, thanks to the government’s Gift Aid scheme.
How it works
If you currently pay tax in the UK, we can claim back 25 pence for every £1 that you donate if you complete our Gift Aid Declaration for your donation. You can either download a copy of our Gift Aid Declaration, fill it in and send it back, or we can post a copy out to you to complete and return in our postage paid envelope. So your donation of £30 could be worth £37.50 to us (at no extra cost to you) by just filling in a form.
- We can claim Gift Aid on any donation you may make in future, or over the previous four years. Donating with Gift Aid does not affect your tax status.
- We can only claim Gift Aid on donations made personally by individuals who currently pay tax in the UK, and not on behalf of a group or from a collection or sponsorship.
If you choose to donate online through our JustGiving page, you will be offered a Gift Aid declaration as part of this process.
Please notify us if you want to cancel your declaration, change your name or full home address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your Income or Capital Gains. If you are a higher rate tax payer you can claim personal tax relief via a Self Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and customs to adjust your tax code.
