Today the Health Foundation granted £24,000 to eight projects that will directly improve the quality of life of patients of NHS Lothian, through its Small Grants programme.
The Health Foundation is committed to supporting the patients of NHS Lothian, and these eight projects were agreed by the Small Grants Committee to be valuable ways of making the patient’s stay in hospital more comfortable.
With funding support, the outdoor sports court of the Orchard Clinic at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital will be renewed, two Quiet Rooms at Liberton Hospital will be upgraded, and the Walled Garden at St John’s Hospital will be redesigned.
Owen Siddalls, Grants Manager, said “It’s great to see some really imaginative projects go ahead with funding from the Small Grants Programme, and it’s easy to see how they will make a difference to the patient’s stay. We hope to be able to support many more projects, and so we need to spread the word about the Small Grants Programme among NHS Lothian staff.”
