Sculpture commission for the new East Lothian Community Hospital

March 28, 2018

Round Table Projects invites applications from contemporary artists working in three dimensions to explore the rich natural heritage of East Lothian in a period of research that leads to the creation of an ambitious and visually striking sculptural work for permanent installation in the main concourse of the new East Lothian Community Hospital. The commissioned party will be required to connect with community groups in exploring the legacy of the naturalist and environmental philosopher John Muir, as well as researching the ecology of East Lothian’s wilder landscapes.

This commission is one of a number of retrofit therapeutic arts and environment initiatives for the new hospital, currently under construction in the town of Haddington.
