Health Foundation 2013 Public Meeting
On 27th November 2013, more than 70 people attended the Health Foundation’s second public meeting at their Headquarters at Waverley Gate.
Guests received a brief overview of the Foundation’s last year, and heard from Dr Nick Cruden about his exciting cardiology research study, funded by a Foundation grant. In addition, Chris Sheldon from solicitors Turcan Connell spoke about accurate will writing and legacies to NHS hospitals.
The audience included Specific Fund Stewards, Grantholders and prospective applicants, other supporters and members of the general public. At the end of the evening there was a lively Q&A session, where the panel included the Foundation’s new Chairman, Brian Houston.
Su Miller, of LifeCare (Edinburgh) said afterwards “It was a super format and I really enjoyed it and learned a great deal about the work of the Foundation and its many different parts, which I found fascinating.”
