2016/17 Grants Programme

September 30, 2015

Our 2016/17 General Grants Programme is now open for applications, designed to create “healthier, longer lives for the people of Scotland.” Trustees are inviting proposals for projects which will improve the health of local people and particularly encourage applications for projects that demonstrate partnership working.

Applications should be submitted by Sunday 13th December 2015 and applicants will be advised in February 2016 if their project is recommended for funding. Grants will made to successful applicants in April 2016. There is always strong competition for funding and in previous years we have been three times oversubscribed. However if you do have a project idea we do encourage you to consider applying.

Further information on the Main and R&D Grants Programmes is available online as well as a directory of previously funded projects. Please note we provide funding on the basis of additionality so projects should be above-and-beyond current NHS Lothian core provision.

We encourage applicants to consider the guidance notes and assessment criteria provided online; potential applications can be discussed with the Grants Manager before an application is submitted. Grant surgery drop-in sessions will be held in October across NHS Lothian, details of which will soon be available online.
