Breast MRI – The future

The inaugural Lyda Henderson Memorial Lecture on the future of Breast MRI will take place on Tuesday 21st April @ 5pm in the SHSC Conference Centre, Crewe Road, Western General Hospital.

The lecture will be given by Dr Roisin Bradley who was the first recipient of this annual travelling fellowship.

“The Fellowship enabled me to travel to America and study with Professor Constance Lehman one of the world’s leading experts in breast imaging, at the Seattle Cancer Centre in Washington DC.  My lecture will focus on our new Family History Breast Screening Service – which now includes MRI.

The valuable experience I gained has helped shape the Edinburgh Breast Unit service we now offer. I will include the audit of our first 9 months experience which has shown improved recall rates in line with national standards.

I would really encourage others to apply for the fellowship, if they have a ‘breast’ related course of study they would like to follow” commented Dr Bradley.
