The Spring Engagement Service aims to increase the number of women accessing Spring. Spring supports women with complex needs and/or involved in the Criminal Justice system. Many have histories of trauma, mental and physical health issues and /or addiction problems but due to their marginalised status in the community they experience health inequalities and have difficulty accessing the support, which impacts on their families and the wider community. The engagement service would provide 1-1 keywork support (not currently available), which is essential if we are to reach women where other services have failed. The new service would increase numbers accessing Spring in order that they become more empowered (improved self esteem, confidence and self efficacy), engage with services and achieve personal goals including education and employment). This will reduce health inequalities.
