Grant Amount : £ 40,000

Service user involvement is part of a flexible, mixed treatment system. “This ensures that service users and their families are involved in decisions regarding their treatment plans.” (Delivering Recovery SDSDC Aug13) This project involves one full-time worker over 2 years to support the development, co-ordination and integration of service user involvement including peer development work within the SMD. The project aims to help improve the quality of services delivered by the SMD and the quality of the users’ experience. After the 2 year period exit strategies would be in place to sustain the benefits of this initiative.
