This project has been created to see the purchase and installation of four pieces of outdoorgreen gym equipment in the garden area of our service. This will enable our service to expand the programme of regular exercise we offer to our residents. We deal with individuals suffering from alcohol related brain damage, regular physical exercise is imperative towards their recovery as a whole by improving mobility, fitness, mood and cognitive function. This equipment has been specially selected to improve areas that are relevant to the specific impairment of our client group, such as coordination. It is hoped that residents will leave our service with the skills and experience necessary to use similar pieces of equipment in their local community. By promoting a long-term active lifestyle, our resident quality of life will be greatly improved and their chances of maintaining abstinence.
