Lifeline Crafts Pilot Programme

Organisation : Lifeline Crafts (SCIO)
Grant Amount : £ 13,855

Lifeline Crafts will provide informal arts and crafts sessions for mothers. A crèche is be available for young children below nursery and school ages allowing mothers to attend these sessions. A taxi service is available for those needing travel support to attend these sessions. A summer programme of parent and child activities for school age children is also provided. These activities will run for 36weeks and will be a pilot project. Lifeline Crafts aims to provide ongoing and consistent support for parents, particularly mothers, who experience difficulties including those related to mental health. By providing peer support through creative activity we will decrease feelings of isolation and increase self-confidence and mental wellbeing in members. In our parent and child activities we will create the opportunity for quality time with older children.
