Do I need to see a GP? Communications Project

Organisation : Midlothian Health and Social Care Partnership
Grant Amount : £ 1,230
Project Dates : April to September 2017

The project aims to:

  • increase people’s confidence and ability to self-manage minor illness and to use community health services effectively
  • improve awareness and understanding amongst the general public of the range of options available to help people experiencing a health problem
  • contribute to a programme which aims to reduce inappropriate use of GP services and other health services such as Accident and Emergency

To do this we will implement a programme of information and communication including production of a handy guide, social media and print media advertising and other materials such as information banners.

As well as targeting the general population we will also target key community groups and staff groups and work in partnership to deliver a rolling programme of events and training sessions.
