Developing Recovery Pathways for Patients and Vulnerable People

Organisation : Cyrenians
Grant Amount : £ 10,000

Building on current developments this project has a focus on increasing patient engagement with gardening across the Royal Edinburgh and Midlothian Hospitals, with significant focus on development at Midlothian.
1) Developing and piloting supported activities for patients at Midlothian Hospital to engage with as part of their hospital care plan
2) Expand the remit of (currently under development) patient engagement work (detailed below) at the Royal Edinburgh to include all patients, i.e. not just those in adult acute or rehabilitation wards.
3) Extend the ‘pathways’ pilot  which is planned to run between Feb and Aug, aimed at significantly raising awareness of the gardens activity and offering taster sessions and workshops across both sites.
4) Provide  capacity for the service manager to engage with the Greenspace Artspace PSP as the Royal Edinburgh development enters stage 2.
