Creation of an indoor garden at a community-based trauma service.

Organisation : Rivers Centre, NHS Lothian,
Grant Amount : £ 3,000
Project Dates : June to September 2017

NHS Lothian’s trauma service has recently moved to a community-based site in Edinburgh’s city centre. At the new location there is no access to outdoor or green space and we would therefore like to try to improve the therapeutic environment by creating an “indoor garden” for our patients.

To achieve this we are proposing a collaboration between the Rivers Centre for Traumatic Stress, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and the Redhall Walled Garden managed by SAMH.
