Creation of a patient resource area at the Rivers/Cullen Centre

Organisation : NHS Lothian
Grant Amount : £ 6,000

The Rivers Centre for Traumatic Stress and the Cullen Centre for Eating Disorders are co-located in Tipperlinn House on the Royal Edinburgh Hospital site. Both Services currently share a small, cramped waiting room measuring approximately 7’10” by 18’6″. This project proposes the expansion of the waiting room into an adjacent corridor, thus tripling its size, and creating space for a patient resource area. This would allow room for two computer terminals for patients to use for computer-based interactive treatments, and for the development of a library of self-help materials relating to trauma and eating disorders.
