This project will be a partnership between CAMHS Day Programme at REH and Artlink, for young people and adolescents across all CAMHS Tier 4 services.
The project will provide young people, who experience complex and enduring mental health problems, the opportunity to learn the principles of photography within the hospital and enable them to implement this learning into practical photographic sessions in the community.
The project will be a rolling 10 week programme, which will culminate in an exhibition of the young peoples’ work.
The project aims to improve mental health and wellbeing of young people by participating in a practical, creative and rewarding activity. It will provide structure and meaning to the young people’s lives and support building confidence and self esteem, which will enable young people to consider other opportunities outwith the hospital setting.
