Arts Therapies in Lothian – establishing a partnership model

Organisation : NHS Lothian
Grant Amount : £ 48,300
Project Dates : November 2016 to March 2018

The project seeks to build on the work achieved to date within the Arts Therapies Service through the continued development of the lead service role within NHS Lothian’s Arts Therapies Service. A key outcome of the project will be to implement a sustainable partnership model within the Integrated Joint Boards and Acute Inpatient Services across Lothian.

The project will ensure clear alignment of the needs of patients and service users, both locally and pan-Lothian, through firmly embedding the work of the Arts Therapies Services within the Strategic Commissioning Plans of the IJBs and Acute Inpatient Services through agreed patient pathways. A key focus will be on establishing the contribution of Arts Therapies within a wider spectrum of locality based service delivery, ensuring sustainability, increasing access and improving quality.
