ADHD pilot course

Organisation : South East Edinburgh Primary Care Occupational Therapy Mental Health Service
Grant Amount : £ 3,000
Project Dates : August 2016 to February 2017

This would be a psycho educational group for adults with ADHD who are living in Edinburgh. The content of the group would include information about ADHD, strategies to better manage symptoms of ADHD, information about support networks and peer support and sharing of experiences. The group would be aimed towards people who have been assessed by a Community mental health occupational therapist. The aim of this group is to develop a group programme which would be evaluated and reviewed which would then become a permanent treatment option. It would then reduce occupational therapy waiting times and offer a high quality treatment alternative to one:one therapy.
