A new exhibition will soon open as part of the Art & Therapeutic Design Programme for Royal Hospital for Children and Young People and the Department of Clinical Neurosciences. Hans K Clausen and Kjersti Sletteland, artists based at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop, have worked over the past year on a NHS Lothian project collecting hand-squeezed porcelain ‘impressions’ from patients, staff and visitors, representing the hospital community at its most eclectic.
The artists have collaborated with writer Jenni Fagan and over 700 individual staff members, patients and visitors, to present a fascinating exhibition set amidst the iconic and theatrical backdrop of the University of Edinburgh’s Anatomical Museum.
The project and exhibition was made possible with funding from Edinburgh & Lothians Health Foundation and support from NHS Lothian, Ginkgo Projects and the University of Edinburgh.
Exhibition open 16th to 25th August;
- Monday 16th – Friday 24th August – 12 noon-3pm
- Saturday 25th August – 10am-4pm
Location – The Anatomical Museum, University of Edinburgh, Doorway 3, Medical School, Teviot Place, Edinburgh, EH8 9AG
