Exciting opportunity to develop and deliver all aspects of NHS Lothian’s exhibitions programme
December 11, 2017

Edinburgh and Lothians Health Foundation is looking for an individual, small dedicated consortia or enterprise, to develop and deliver all aspects of NHS Lothian’s exhibitions programme across its four main hospital sites under an initial three year contract to run from 2018 – 2021.

Inspired by the potential of gallery spaces in hospitals and healthcare spaces to uplift, inform and colour people’s hospital experience and bring exciting and interesting non-medical ideas and themes into the hospital environment, the Hospital Galleries Manager will programme, produce, curate, hire or commission as well as hang and install arts or arts-related exhibitions across four hospital sites.

The Hospital Galleries Manager will see the value in reaching the large numbers of people passing through these public spaces with a diverse and accessible programme and relish the idea of working independently, directly and imaginatively with these large public ‘blank canvases’ in Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary, Western General and Royal Edinburgh hospitals and St John’s Hospital in West Lothian.

The overall contract value, which includes the manager’s and any subcontractors’ fees, overheads, transport and exhibition costs is valued at around £110,000 over it’s three year duration.
