Arts and Health Project Developer/ Manager

The Arts and Health strategy will be part of the delivery of a new East Lothian Community Hospital on the site of the existing Roodlands Hospital in Haddington, East Lothian.

Working with service providers, the (already) designed architecture, interiors and landscaping the arts and health strategy developer/ project manager will research and propose an holistic art and environment strategy which identifies appropriate partnerships to support an ongoing patient centred holistic environment.

It is important that applicants have an understanding of working within given architectural and building contexts and the specialist needs of healthcare environments. Proven experience in project development, excellent communication, project management, art project costing; the development of partnerships and income generation.

The commissioners are looking for an age appropriate dementia compliant strategy which includes, where possible, local art procurement and partnerships which support connectivity with the surrounding community to provide both patient and community benefit.

Phase 1 will require experience and skills in consultation, coordination and engagement with the project stakeholders:

Phase 1 :

Research and delivery of a detailed costed and fully illustrated holistic strategy complete with potential partnerships negotiated and described by end of April 2017

Fee – £7,000

Phase 2

Subject to approval the proposed holistic strategy will progress to development and implementation. It is expected that the Arts and Health Developer / Project Manager will be contracted to oversee Phase 2.
